Routes
STS, PDRA or SORA

Every new route should not be a new application.

Delivery is where the specific category gets hardest: beyond visual line of sight, over mixed ground, with a network that has to grow route by route.

Why it needs an authorisation

Delivery typically means BVLOS over populated ground with payloads, which leads to a higher SAIL and therefore much more evidence on operational safety objectives. Some operations cross into the certified category altogether, for example when they carry dangerous goods at high risk. Medical logistics needs particular attention here, since some medical samples and supplies may count as dangerous goods.

What drives your risk

  • Ground riskRoutes cross areas of very different density. The highest density within the footprint sets the iGRC, so a small stretch of a route can define the whole risk result.
  • Air riskLong routes meet more airspace types. Delivery operators frequently need tactical mitigation and coordination with air traffic services.
  • SAILHigher SAIL levels ask for higher robustness and often third-party validation. The earlier you know your SAIL, the better your design and budget decisions.

How Hespoire helps

Hespoire models a network as connected files. Adding a route shows what it changes, what it can reuse and which stretch is driving your risk, so you can adjust the route before you apply.
